Dangdut is popular genre of music in Indonesia which is different from another genre. It's name comes from the sound of Gendang (tabla) which are dang and dut. Originally came from Malay and desert-style Arabic music, modern dangdut is influenced by rock, pop, etc. A dangdut band contains a male or female lead singer and another additional singer (optional) and backed by up to eight instruments such as guitar, tabla, flute, synthesizer, etc. In Indonesia, especially small cities in Java, Dangdut concert always hold on certain events, such as birthday party, wedding party etc. It's a must see concert and if I were you, I'd go there and start dancing.
